Kirk McKinnon

Kirk serves as Senior Vice President of Avatar Investment Group, a Dallas-based investment group focusing on direct investments across a diverse range of asset classes.

Prior to joining Avatar Investments, Kirk served as National Director of Foundations for International Justice Mission (IJM), an international Christian human rights agency that rescues victims of violence, sexual exploitation, slavery and oppression. Before his time with IJM, Kirk served with Dallas-based private equity group Tregan Partners LP, where he served as Manager of Tregan Credit LLC, helping to source investment opportunities and analyze and refine business plans for this subsidiary seeking to invest in various strategies. Kirk worked as an associate at Haynes and Boone LLP, a Dallas-based law firm, before working with Tregan Partners.

Kirk holds a Bachelor of Arts in History from Washington and Lee University and a Juris Doctor from the Dedman School of Law at Southern Methodist University.
