January & February Prayer Requests

Happy New Year! We hope your year is off to a good start. Please email us back if there’s anything we can be praying for. In the meantime, here are the prayer requests and praises for the months of January and February.

Praises from 2021! 

• God’s Continued Protection during COVID-19. The staff has begun the year healthy and well and ask we join them in thanking the Lord for His continued care and deliverance over them.
  
• New Branch Launched. Seed Effect became one of nine Kingdom Giving Fund grant recipients, which paved the way for the launch of our 5th branch in Rhino Camp. (We’ll be launching branch 6 this year too!)
  
• 50,000 Members Empowered. That’s the number of South Sudanese refugees and Ugandans who have had the opportunity to know Jesus and provide their families with dignity as members of Seed Effect.
• Total Savings of our ~1,600 Groups. Seed Effect groups have collectively saved $5 million, lent over $3.5 million, started thousands of businesses and improved their lives in every sector we are measuring.
• New Partnership Formed. Seed Effect joined the HOPE International Network and we’re grateful to work together to ensure more refugees gain access to the tools they need.

Requests for Seed Effect Uganda

• New Staff in Rhino Branch. Please continue to pray for the new staff in Rhino. They had an orientation and training earlier in January that went well. Pray they’d understand Seed Effect’s mission, learn quickly, be kept safe as they travel to and from groups, and be filled with the Holy Spirit as they work with new members.
• Wisdom for SE Uganda Management Team. Continue to pray for wisdom for the management team in all their decision making, especially as they’re managing more branches, staff, and volunteers.
• Procurement of New Supplies. Pray SE Uganda will have ease of access in procurring the supplies they need for the newest branch/branches to follow so they do not experience delay in getting to reach new members!
• Spiritual Growth. Pray for the spiritual growth of the staff at each branch, as they allow God to use them to serve their communities. Pray also for continued protection over their health.

Seed Effect USA

• Search for a Director of Development. Continue praying for a Director of Development to add to our team. Pray he or she would mesh seamlessly with our existing team while furthering Seed Effect’s mission to bring economic empowerment and the hope of Jesus Christ to hard places. Learn more about the position here or reach out to Grace at grace@seedeffect.org if you or someone you know might be interested!
