September Prayer Requests

Praise God! We have so much to be thankful for this month. Would you join us in thanking God for how He’s moving?

Praise! 

• Healing of SE Uganda Spiritual Director. Your prayers have an impact. When we ask for healing for members and staff and you pray, God hears. Our Spiritual Director Kenneth was very ill but after praying his strength and health were restored!

Seed Effect Uganda 

• Home Office Staff Retreat. SE Uganda’s staff had a retreat on September 8 and 9, which focused on training and equipping. Pray the content they discussed will have a long lasting impact.
• Funding for More Groups to Operate. Here in the States, we’ve seen food prices increase and inflation hit a new record high. Millions of South Sudanese refugees and Ugandans are also trying to weather this financial downturn, and our staff have had to turn away potential members because we lack the funding to start new groups. Pray for additional funding so we can provide tools to those who desperately need them. (Learn more here).
• Financial Provision. Pray members will have the courage and tenacity to continue to save in the midst of financial hardship. Pray for God’s provision, that they’ll be able to provide for their families and loved ones.
• Protection for Staff. There has been a lot of rain recently, which has caused the roads to deteriorate. Pray for staff safety as they travel to and from the camps.
• Discipleship of New Converts. Group members hear the Gospel through the SE curriculum. Pray for those who have met Christ for the first time, that they will be discipled and grow in their faith.
• Wisdom for SE Ugandan Leadership. As Seed Effect continues to grow and open new branches, those in leadership at the head office are asking for prayer. Pray for wisdom and favor for management as they make hiring decisions, resolve conflict, use resources, and train new staff.
• Healing for Members and their Families. Pray for God to comfort those who have lost loved ones and for healing for those who are ill, specifically those with hypertension, infertility, and alcoholism.
• Spiritual Rhythms. Pray staff make time to rest, spend time with the Lord, and seek Him in every area of their lives.

Seed Effect USA

• Telling Seed Effect’s Story. Would you continue to pray for Seed Effect as we expand our community of supporters within the DFW area and beyond? We have two ways that current advocates can get involved: Seed Effect Socials and Seed Effect Gather.
• Wisdom in Expansion. We continue to grow and are so thankful! Join us in praying for our lean (but growing!) team, that we would steward this growth and expansion in a way that is worthy of the gospel.
• Protection as We Travel. With growth comes opportunities to expand our network and share the story of Seed Effect with new and existing donors in cities outside of where our staff live. Pray for the Lord’s protection as we travel.
• Keeping Christ as Our Focus. Pray we remain committed to honoring the sabbath, seeking solitude to hear from the Lord, and praying for this ministry. Ask the Lord to help us keep Him at the center of everything we do.
