October Prayer Requests

Praise God! We have so much to be thankful for this month. Would you join us in thanking God for how He’s moving?

Praise! 

• Reinvest Giving Day. Thanks to generous donations from supporters last week, we raised $111,184 and will be able to serve an additional 1,235 new members! That’s 1,235 more South Sudanese refugees and Ugandans, caring for an estimated 6,175 dependents, empowered to know Jesus and provide for their families with dignity.
• New Car. The new car purchase that we prayed for earlier this summer continues to be a blessing in helping staff travel throughout Northern Uganda to visit savings groups and various branches.

Seed Effect Uganda 

• Financial Provision. Continue to pray members will have the courage and tenacity  to save in the midst of financial hardship and recession. Pray for God’s provision, that they’ll be able to provide for their families and loved ones.
• Protection for Staff. With the recent rain, roads have deteriorated. Pray for staff safety as they travel to and from the camps.
• Discipleship of New Converts. Group members hear the Gospel through the SE curriculum. Pray for those who have met Christ for the first time, that they will be discipled well and grow in their faith.
• Wisdom and Encouragement for SE Ugandan Leadership. As Seed Effect continues to grow and open new branches, those in leadership at the head office need wisdom as they make hiring decisions, resolve conflict, use resources, and train new staff.
• Healing for Staff, Members, and their Families. Pray for God to comfort those who have lost loved ones and for healing for those who are ill: specifically those with blood pressure, infertility, and alcoholism.
• Spiritual Rhythms. Pray staff make time to rest, spend time with the Lord, and seek Him in every area of their lives.

Seed Effect USA

• Growing our Support Base. Would you continue to pray for Seed Effect as we expand our community of supporters within the DFW area and beyond? This month we’ll be meeting for our annual luncheon and continue to offer Seed Effect Socials and Seed Effect Gather opportunities for those who’d like to rally their people around our members.
• Wisdom as We Grow. We continue to grow and are so thankful! Join us in praying for our lean (but growing!) team, that we would steward this growth and expansion in a way that is worthy of the gospel.
• Protection as We Travel. With growth comes opportunities to expand our network and share the story of Seed Effect with new and existing donors in cities outside of where our staff live. Pray for the Lord’s protection as we travel.
• Keeping Christ as Our Focus. Pray we remain committed to honoring the sabbath, seeking solitude to hear from the Lord, and praying for this ministry. Ask the Lord to help us keep Him at the center of everything we do.
