May 2023 Prayer Requests

Seed Effect Uganda 

• Growth and Discipleships of New Converts We praise God for the new converts in our savings groups. These individuals have chosen to place their faith in Jesus as a result of the Bible Study in their groups!  Would you pray that they will continue with open hearts to ask questions when they don’t understand, and that their leaders will give clear answers.
• Wisdom and Encouragement for the Seed Effect Uganda Leadership Would you please pray for our leaders, as they continue to speak into the lives of our current staff, as well as dealing with brokenness and conflicts, and stewarding resources. Pray that they would seek the Lord as they lead our growing staff, and grow in their spirituality.
• Healing for Staff, Members and their Families Specifically, would you pray for the wife of our Branch Manager Isaiah, in Rhino Camp, who had a miscarriage recently. Pray for God to be her comfort and hope during this sad time. There may be others we don’t know about who are in need of healing and hope as well.
• Financial Provision Please pray for members who continue to struggle financially. Would you pray that they will not give up when they are still in need.  And that God would give them courage, and a willingness to ask questions when they are discouraged.  Pray that God would use the members to encourage each other as they build community.  We have seen them come together creatively to help each other and we thank God for this spiritual growth!
• Farmers and the Weather Would you pray for the weather, and for the farmers, as we enter the rainy season. Pray for creativity and God’s favor as they work to grow their crops, praying for a strong harvest.
• Spiritual Rhythms Please pray for out staff to make time for personal rest, as well as time to sit with the Lord and hear from him, so they can lead our staff and members as He leads them.

Seed Effect USA

• Wisdom as We Grow We have seen tremendous growth over the last several years, and covet your prayers over our team, that we would make time to listen to the Holy Spirit’s leading as we continue to grow. We don’t want to get ahead of the Lord.

Would you also pray that God would bring more people who understand the mission of Seed Effect to come alongside us and support this work.

• Protection as We Travel To Uganda Ashley and Denny are taking a small group to Uganda in early August.  Would you pray that as we prepare for the trip, that each person would have their hearts open to all that God has for us as we go—and that each one will feel uniquily empowered to love our Seed Effect Ugandan staff and savings group participants well.  Also, that we will all come home knowing that God has used us to love our staff and savings group members with His love while we are there.  And that He would change us, making us more like Him!
• That Christ Will Always Be Our Main Focus That we will be prayerful, listening for His leading in everything we do as a ministry. My all we do reflect Christ!
• Spiritual Rhythms Just as we pray this for our friends in Uganda, we need this for ourselves in the U.S. It is so easy to be distracted.  May we seek God and His righteousness first always.
