Strengthening Our Mission: Highlights from the 2025 Seed Effect All Staff Summit
Seed Effect launched the new year with an unforgettable milestone—our second All Staff Summit! Teams from all eight branches in Uganda, our newest location in South Sudan, and our U.S. staff came together in Gulu, Uganda, for three incredible days of training, fellowship, worship, and team building.
For the first time, many of our team members met in person, turning familiar names into lifelong friends. Laughter, prayer, and meaningful conversations filled our time as we reflected on our mission, tackled challenges, and strategized for the future. We celebrated victories, embraced new opportunities, and cast a vision for 2025.
A Theme That Resonates: Faithful Stewards
This year’s theme, “Faithful Stewards,” is rooted in 1 Peter 4:10-11:
“Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.”
Our prayer is that, in all we do, we remain steadfast and humble, faithfully stewarding what God has entrusted to us as we work to bring economic empowerment and the hope of Jesus Christ to the most underserved communities.

Training, Teamwork, and Transformative Moments
Each day was packed with engaging sessions, dynamic discussions, and invaluable feedback. Leaders from Uganda and South Sudan shared firsthand insights, while our U.S. team had the privilege of witnessing their passion, resilience, and unwavering dedication to the mission.
Beyond the training and planning, the Summit was a celebration of culture, unity, and joy. Staff members participated in a day filled with:
- Football matches that brought out friendly rivalries.
- Cultural dances that showcased the beautiful traditions of our diverse team.
- Relay races and Zumba that had everyone on their feet, laughing and cheering!
Saida, our Branch Coordinator for the Omoro Branch, shared:
“What touched me the most was the cultural dances. It served as a beautiful reminder of our traditions and culture, which, in today’s fast-paced world, many people rarely get the chance to enjoy. I am truly grateful for this thoughtful experience.”

Investing in Leaders, Strengthening Our Mission
Seed Effect has experienced incredible growth, now reaching over 110,000 members with our program. But with growth comes the responsibility to stay grounded in our mission and prevent “mission drift.” This is why investing in our leaders is not just important—it’s essential.
By strengthening our leadership, we deepen the relationships that make this work so impactful. We empower the very people who are on the front lines, bringing sustainable transformation to their communities.
As we move forward into 2025, we do so with gratitude, unity, and excitement for what’s ahead. The time we invested in fellowship and vision during this Summit will continue to strengthen our mission in the months to come.
