Hola!

I was born in El Salvador and grew up in Costa Rica! I come from a big, loving Latin family. We love getting together for Sunday lunches, homemade pupusas and tamales, and dancing every chance we get. My brother and I spent our childhood years marked by frequent moves (I’ve lived in 14 different cities!), so home for me was never a specific place, house, or country, but wherever my family was. I had the joy of growing up with parents who deeply loved the Lord, and from a young age, I remember wanting to have a deep, abiding relationship with Jesus like my dad and to be a Godly woman and prayer warrior like my mom. However, when I was thirteen years old, I went on a youth retreat, and it was that weekend that I had my “AHA” moment – I truly understood in my heart that Jesus loved me, knew me by name, and died for my sins. That truth changed me, and I never looked back!

As I grew up, my love for God, His Word, and serving Him only deepened – especially through worship leading, writing, and mentoring. It was around that time that I discovered a passion for full-time ministry and nonprofit work. This led me to earn my Bachelor’s in Worship Studies from Liberty University and to later spend over five years in full-time ministry at our local church. During that season, I found joy in both administrative and creative roles. Organization, creativity, and bringing order to chaos are my happy place, especially when paired with a color-coded to-do list!

Fast forward to fall 2024, and I heard about Seed Effect! Due to my multicultural background, I have seen the devastating effects of perpetual poverty, which is why I was drawn to Seed Effect’s mission to meet the spiritual, emotional, and financial needs of families in Uganda & South Sudan. It’s an honor to be part of the team as the Executive Assistant, contributing to our Operations and Marketing Teams, and witnessing firsthand the life-changing impact of our Savings and Loan groups. 

I married my handsome hubby, Will, in 2018, and you’ll usually find us hanging out with our puppy, Milo! We love walking around our neighborhood, listening to live music, enjoying street tacos, movie nights, and doing photography shoots. My perfect day includes sleeping in, hanging out in the sunshine with my familia, a sweet treat in hand, and a little salsa music in the background.
