About Kenna

With a passion for poverty alleviation and sharing the Gospel, Kenna brings joy and passion to her work and the relationships she invests in.

As a Middle School Staff member at Parks Cities Presbyterian Church, she got to help lead small groups, study the Word with middle school girls, on occasion teach at Sunday school, and have weekly hangouts that allowed her to invest in middle school girls and their families. Through a 2-year residency and spiritual formation group, she learned how abiding with the Lord is the most important thing. Taking the time to slow down, pray, sit in His Word, and be reminded of the promises is an essential rhythm she learned to do daily, and as a result, her delight and trust in the Lord has magnified. After her residency, she was searching for a non-profit in Dallas that focused on empowering through restoration while being rooted in the gospel. When she saw the foundation of restoration, dignity, and Christ’s love at Seed Effect, she was so drawn to this work and wanted to be a part of this mission.

What drew her to Seed Effect was the mission of empowerment that changes lives forever. Poverty alleviation is one of the things she is most passionate about. Seeing the process with which Seed Effect empowers and seeks full restoration, was both unique and powerful to her! Through valuing dignity, embracing opportunities, and facing challenges head-on, she knew that this was absolutely a team she would wanted to be a part of!

She is passionate about making others feel seen, known, and loved. She has a heart for walking alongside those who are experiencing hardships and being able to be someone who listens, reminds them of the hope we have in Jesus, and being someone who faithfully stands in their corner.

In her free time, she is passionate about fitness and nutrition! She is passionate about pilates and educating others on health and wellness.

Kenna and her husband, David live in Dallas and attend Park Cities Presbyterian Church.
