About Liz

I grew up in New Braunfels, Texas, in the heart of the Hill Country. Growing up in such a beautiful place fostered a love for God’s creation and the joy of spending time in it. I moved to Dallas in 2006 and met my husband, Kyle, 5 years later, serving together at Watermark Community Church.

I came to know the Lord as a child, but my relationship with Him became far more personal during my time at Dallas Baptist University and later at Watermark, through their Young Adults’ Ministry, The Porch, where I met Kyle. Serving together has remained the heartbeat of our lives. I fell in love with the Ugandan people after a teaching trip in 2015, during which I spent a week with 100 women who were leading in their communities and local churches in Lamwo, Uganda. The Lord used that trip to create a heart for the global church and his people across the world.

I have served in various nonprofit organizations throughout my career, starting in Christian education as a Guidance Counselor, teacher, and coach, and then on staff at Watermark in various roles from Administrative Assistant to Director of Operations. After a few years in a Christian media company, I started my own consulting business, which brought me to Seed Effect! After a few meetings with Missy, I fell in love with Seed Effect’s mission and joyfully joined the team full-time as Director of Operations in 2023. After 2.5 years in that role, I transitioned into my role as the Director of Advancement, where I have the opportunity to help propel our mission, cultivate our culture, and serve our people. I love hearing and sharing the stories of our members whose lives have been transformed by the hope of Jesus and economic empowerment in Northern Uganda and South Sudan. It is an absolute joy to get to be a part of this critical work!

When I’m not at the office, you’ll find me at a park with Kyle and our son, Jonathan, exploring local restaurants, serving at our church, and traveling whenever and wherever we can, around the world! We also love sharing our story and the marriage lessons we’ve learned as teachers in our premarital ministry at Watermark! Walking with couples from dating to newly married is one of our favorite things to do!
