After a year of strengthening our foundation, people, systems, and support structures, 2026 is a year of sustainable growth and multiplied impact.
Seed Effect exists to bring the hope of Jesus Christ and economic empowerment to hard places. But we believe true impact isn’t measured just by numbers. It’s seen in restored families, resilient households, and communities where people are equipped to lead, save, and thrive for the long term.
In 2026, we’re focused on building strong and scaling well, multiplying impact through local leadership and stronger accountability.
1. Empowering Over 700 New Seed Effect Groups
This year, we aim to empower more than 700 new Seed Effect Savings & Loan Groups across our existing locations in Uganda and South Sudan, creating new opportunities for families to save, borrow responsibly, grow businesses, and build stability through community-based support and discipleship.
This growth is made possible by local leadership, including our Community-Based Facilitators, trusted Seed Effect members who help expand the program in their communities.
2. Measuring What Works: Research & Learning
We’re committed not only to expanding our reach but also to strengthening the quality and effectiveness of what we teach.
In 2026, we plan to conduct more formal research with new evaluation tools into the effectiveness of two key training programs:
-
Plan for a Better Business (in partnership with the Chalmers Center)
-
Conservation Agriculture training (in partnership with Equipping Farmers International)
Our goal is to better understand what is driving results, what needs refinement, and how we can continually improve the training that empowers members to build lasting livelihoods.
3. Strengthening Accountability Through Better Systems
We spent 2025 upgrading and restructuring our Salesforce database to improve program visibility, strengthen accountability, and provide better reporting across all branch locations. And now we’re ready to launch these upgrades. This upgrade will give us better visibility into group health and performance across staff and CBF-led groups, so we can celebrate what’s working, identify where support is needed, and strengthen accountability across our team.
4. Digitizing Data Collection for Greater Accuracy & Real-Time Learning
In 2026, we’re also working to digitize field data collection, moving from paper-based systems to mobile tools that enable program teams to capture, upload, and validate data more efficiently.
This is a major step forward in our Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL) work, and a key investment in long-term sustainability as Seed Effect continues to scale.
5. Improving Training and Follow-Up Through Stronger Accountability
We’re also rolling out new monitoring tools, including a supervisor-led M&E survey completed during group visits, to strengthen group health, improve coaching, and ensure consistent quality as we scale. With better visibility across groups and branches, we can identify where additional support is needed and continually improve how we train, supervise, and follow up, strengthening accountability at every level so growth is not only faster, but healthier.
6. Continuing Partnership in Omoro with Texans on Mission
We’re grateful to continue our partnership with Texans on Mission in Omoro, launching savings groups in communities where they are drilling water wells. As we build on this collaboration, our goal is to establish 120 savings groups in Gulu District over the next two years, strengthening economic resilience and access to clean water.
Thank you for making this possible
None of this work happens without partners who believe in sustainable, locally led transformation. As we step into 2026, we’re filled with hope not only for what we will build but also for what God will restore through it.
Thank you for investing in the hard places and in growth that lasts.
