When Hospitality Dances: Visiting Savings Groups in Uganda

There’s a sound that stays with you long after you leave a Seed Effect Savings Group visit. It starts before the car door even opens. Laughter, singing, joyful clapping, and vibrant dancing echo from each of the group members as they welcome visitors.

Their welcome is more than a greeting, it’s a full-hearted and joy-filled embrace. A celebration of community, resilience, and the transformation they’re experiencing through their savings groups. As they sing and dance, you can feel the deep love they have for one another, and it’s a powerful reminder that hope is possible even in the darkest of circumstances.

Here’s a glimpse of that welcome in action:

These are men and women who have faced unimaginable loss and refugees who’ve been forced to leave everything behind. But that’s not what defines them. What defines them is their strength, their hope, and their unwavering commitment to building something new together. Because of this, they host with the most contagious joy that makes you feel like the most honored guest in the world!

At Seed Effect, we wish everyone could experience this in person. Because when you visit a Seed Effect Savings Group, you’re not just observing change, you’re stepping into a journey of dignity, empowerment, and faith. You’re witnessing a story of redemption and resilience, of people who are choosing hope over despair, community over isolation, and joy over sorrow.

Come see for yourself, you’ll never forget their sound of welcome!
