April Prayer Requests

Here are the prayer requests for Seed Effect for April 2022. Thank you for continuing to lift up our ministry and staff in prayer.

Praise! 

• Protection of Staff and Volunteers. God has continued to protect SE Uganda staff and volunteers as they travel to and from groups in the camps and work in the branch offices.
• Procurement of New Supplies. SE Uganda has easily accessed and procured the supplies they need for the newest branches.
• Director of Development!  We have officially found Seed Effect’s Director of Development, Ashley Godsil! Thank you so much for your continued prayers that God would provide one that not only brings incredible experience and strategy, but also one that fits in the culture of our team seamlessly. She officially starts in May and we could not be more excited.

Seed Effect Uganda 

• Construction of New Branch. Pray for the construction of the new office building in Lamwo.
• Recruitment of New Staff Pray for HR as they recruit staff for positions at various branches. Pray they’ll have wisdom and insight into who they hire and for God to bring the right personnel to join the team.
• Church in Rhino Branch. Church leaders and members in Simbili, part of the Rhino Branch, are under a physical and spiritual attack by a local witch doctor. Pray that they’ll stay true to the faith and that the power of God will defeat any plans of the enemy.
• Healing and Breakthrough for Members. Pray for healing and deliverance for the following circumstances: outbreak of diarrhea and vomiting among children in the Rhino camp; addiction to alcohol among some of the men; infertility; stomach cancer; and children who are suffering from epilepsy.
• Ugandan Economy. Due to inflation, the Ugandan currency is worth less, which prevents families from buying all that they need.
• Peace in Warring Countries Staff is specifically asking for prayer for peace in the DRC and Ukraine.
• Wisdom for Religious Leaders. Pray the Lord gives pastors and other religious leaders in refugee camps the ability to reach their communities with the Gospel.

Seed Effect USA

• Engaging New Supporters! Would you continue to pray for Seed Effect as we work to expand our community of supporters both within the Dallas/Fort Worth area as well as throughout the United States? We have two ways that current advocates can get involved:  Seed Effect Socials and Seed Effect Gather events. To learn more about these new opportunities and to pray follow the links below.

• Discernment as we grow! We are continuing to grow and we are thankful beyond what words can justly express. Would you join us in praying for our lean (but growing!) team? That we would steward this growth and expansion in a way that is worthy of the gospel — in a way that reflects that we get to be vessels for the work the Lord is doing in Uganda.
• Travel Mercies. With growth comes opportunities to expand our network and share the story of Seed Effect with new and exisiting donors in cities outside of the places our staff calls home. Will you please pray for the Lord’s protection as we move?
• Spiritual Rhythms. For both SE USA and Uganda, would you join us in praying that we remain committed to honoring the sabbath, seeking solitude to hear from the Lord, and fervently praying for not only this work and its mission, but also in all the facets of our lives to ensure that we continue to hold the Lord at center through it all.
