At Seed Effect we have 5 core values that drive the work we do. And for client Mismillian Poni, our core value of building transformative relationships is what she loves most about the organization.
Through the education seminars and the discipleship of the Seed Effect staff she is continually encouraged. She says, “What makes me happy is the foundation of Seed Effect is about faith. Seed Effect works with the spirit of God.”
Because of the microloans Mismillian has invested in her business and the encouragement to plan for the future, she is saving money to build a house for her and her family. (Most South Sudanese do not live in houses but small thatched mud huts called tukels.) While it can take many years for a South Sudanese small business owner to earn enough money to build a house, Mismillian is not discouraged. “I don’t have many challenges because everything I do is rooted in prayer,” she says. “God goes before me.”
