Justin Conner

Justin serves as Associate General Counsel at HBK Capital Management (“HBK”), a global multi-strategy investment firm based in Dallas, Texas.  Justin spends much of his time providing legal advice and perspective to HBK’s investment and portfolio finance teams while also managing many of HBK’s financing and trading related agreements.  Prior to joining HBK, Justin was an attorney at a large international law firm, where he represented financial institutions and corporate issuers on sophisticated corporate financing transactions.

Justin received his J.D., with High Honors, in 2005 from The University of Texas School of Law, where he was a member of the Order of the Coif and served on the Texas Journal of Business Law.  Justin received a B.S.B. degree in Finance in 2002 from the University of Minnesota, where he received the Alpha Kappa Psi Scholarship Key Award representing the Highest Cumulative GPA in the graduating class of the Carlson School of Management.  While at the University of Minnesota, Justin received NCAA All-America Scholar Athlete honors and was team captain for the University of Minnesota gymnastics team.

Justin is married to Melanie Conner and they have two children, Zoe and Chase.   Justin and Melanie have been long-time supporters of Seed Effect and are members of Watermark Community Church in Dallas, Texas.  They both enjoy traveling, spending time with family (especially at the lake) and watching and supporting their kids in all their various activities and sports.
